Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes — What to Know Before You Buy

Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes releases on June 26, 2026, and it's worth paying attention to whether you're a player, collector, or both.
The set brings Marvel characters — Captain America, Thor, Doctor Doom, Galactus, Nick Fury, and many more — into Magic as fully playable cards. Two new mechanics, power-up and teamwork, are built around the feel of Marvel storytelling: characters growing stronger over time and combining forces for bigger effects.
The set contains 453 cards and comes in the usual product lineup: Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, four Commander decks (including a Fantastic Four theme), Jumpstart Boosters, and a Gift Bundle releasing July 17.
For collectors, the standout treatments are the Borderless Source Material cards featuring classic Marvel comic artwork, panoramic Borderless Scene cards, and Infinity Stone cards. Collector Boosters are where you'll find most of the premium stuff.
Cards to Watch
The Mind Stone is the biggest chase card in the set. As a 2-mana indestructible mana rock for white decks it's already strong, but the premium Cosmic Foil variants are where the real collector value is — the Soul Stone from the Spider-Man set set the benchmark, and the Mind Stone is expected to follow suit.
Doctor Doom is one of the most talked-about cards for constructed play. He's resistant to removal, generates artifact tokens, and starts drawing you cards immediately — good enough for Standard and a natural fit in Commander villain or artifact decks.
Iron Man / The Invincible Iron Man is a double-faced card that's generating a lot of buzz. Tony Stark gives you early card advantage, and flipping into Iron Man opens up some powerful equipment combos.
She-Hulk / The Sensational She-Hulk is another double-faced standout. She starts as a 2/3 that limits your opponent's options, and transforms into a 6/6 that redirects combat damage — a legitimate threat in both Standard and Commander.
If you're building a deck rather than collecting, singles are the smarter move. You can find Marvel Super Heroes singles on TCGplayer, your local game store, or from sellers like us here at Pi Squared Gaming once we get stock in — keep an eye on our store as the set releases.
